Is Apple Cider Vinegar Really That Good For You?
There is a lot of buzz around apple cider vinegar and the health benefits that are involved with it. Is there any truth to this or is it just another health fad?
I decided to try it for myself and while doing so dug into the research behind this. I spent 30 days using ACV and the results were pretty incredible.
The science behind it
Before I get into my results, I want to first share the research that I have done and what led me to try this "miracle cure all".
The main benefit of taking apple cider vinegar is from the acetic acid.
Almost every bit of research that I have done has led to this being the source of apple cider vinegars magic. There are different results from this but it's main function is to acidify your stomach and help you digest your food better.
Contrary to some beliefs, your stomach should be very acidic. The whole design of the organ is to break down food. You need acid in order to break down and digest the protein.
Over time and with a diet high in carbohydrates and processed foods, we decrease the acidity in our stomachs. There is also science to back up that GERD and heartburn are symptoms of low stomach acid and not the other way around.
By increasing your stomach acid, this leads to the following benefits;
- You can digest food and in particular protein much more efficiently and quickly.
- You decrease the number of bad bacteria in your gut (you also will increase the good bacteria with what is present is apple cider vinegar).
- You decrease your appetite, increase energy, and lose weight.
- Lower blood pressure and cholesterol.
- You will be able to better absorb nutrients.
- Assist the lymphatic system and help fight infection.
- Help regulate blood glucose levels.
These are just a few of the proven benefits that can come from your daily dose of ACV. It all sounds almost too good to be true and like a miracle cure but there are some things to be mindful of and I will cover these within my person experience from consuming ACV for 30 days.
Is there a downside?
I think as with anything too much ACV can be a bad thing. You need to know how to do this correctly and not overdue it to get the best results.
Don't take too much, a little goes a long way. I wouldn't suggest taking more than a tablespoon at a time. In most cases a great place to start is a teaspoon in an 8 oz. glass of water 30 minutes before a meal.
You will receive the most benefit from taking a natural source of ACV that has been fermented and has strands of good bacteria. This is the best and most trusted brand on the market today.
It is not advised to drink it straight or shoot it as this could potentially be harmful on your esophagus. You also should drink it through a straw as it can possible damage your tooth enamel over time.
My Experience
Now that you have read all the amazing benefits and the potential issues with ACV, I want to share my personal experience with taking this for 30 days straight.
I took one drink per day in the morning before my first meal. If you are doing intermittent fasting then I would just drink 1-2 teaspoons in an 8-12 oz. glass of water and it will not break your fast. If you are just looking for a great tasting drink with other powerhouse ingredients, see the link below.
I was absolutely amazed with the results from my experience! I felt more energy on the second day. My hunger pangs went away after a week. I didn't feel as bloated after meals and all around just felt more vibrant.
I have been dealing with heartburn for most of my life and after 30 days, I can say that this has not been an issue.
If you follow the right steps and take ACV in a routine, you will see benefits. It truly is one of natures gifts and one of the oldest natural homeopathic remedies.
After my 30 days, I continue to take it and have made it into a recipe that combines with other ingredients to really amplify my digestion, immune response, and liver function. You can find that recipe here.
I hope this helps you on your journey to better health!
